He read general Agriculture with specialization in Agricultural Economics in Agricultural University Lublin, Poland between 1979 and 1984. He served in Nigerian National Youth Service Corp in 1984/85 and joined the employment of Kwara State Government of Nigeria in 1986. He was seconded from Kwara State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources to Kwara State Agricultural Development Project in 1996. He has since been working in Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Department of Kwara State Agricultural Development Project, Ilorin, Nigeria as an Agricultural Evaluation Officer, assessing the impact of the Project on the beneficiaries (farmers). In December, 2007 became Director Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation.  Mike is also a stockowner. Happily married with three lovely children; one boy two girls.
